About SouthernStage Works.

Southern Stage Works Youth Theatre Company is a new up and coming independent arts education company that currently operates in the South East. We dedicate ourselves to providing schools with unique programmes that creatively enrich and extend the national curriculum, and allow children the experience of theatre through an organic, fun medium.
We do this because we believe that children and teachers become more inspired and motivated through creative expression and this consequently helps to raise standards of teaching and learning within schools.

Our programmes are designed to help children and teachers learn in a fun and expressive way. Through using some of our own techniques and some from other practitioners we have developed schemes of work for most areas of key stage one and two curriculum, whilst our secondary programmes help raise standards in GCSE & A Level Drama, Gifted and Talented provision, key skills development and enriching the schools citizenship programme. Just as important though is our ability to listen to what your schools needs are, then to tailor a special programme to your requirements.
We are currently planning the operation of our first yearly production in the South East, this will be an open audition process and encourage all students that we have worked with to come along and ‘tread the boards!’
